Kaalai

Jeeva (Simbhu) is the Rowdy who likes to control everyone. He aims to attain the Daughter of the Assistant commissioner, Vedhika. Even when the concerned Vedhika goes to the Police Station to give complaint, the police ask her to maintain her cool and keep silent. In between this another Jeeva enters in the story and he tries to attract Vedhika. So Both the Jeevas clash with each other. The story ends with a bloody murder by the Theni District's Simbhu killing the Assistant Commissioner Jeeva, by inviting him to the Theni. The story ends with an unexpected twist when the Simbhu uses the Assistant Commissioner's Daughter Vedhika for killing him!

It takes few minutes to understand the tri-dimensional clash between the three Jeevas. After the death of a Jeeva the story moves smoothly without any confusion. Simbhu comes to Chennai as a College going guy, and takes the Assistant commissioner Lal to his native, Theni. There are some flashbacks to explain why Simbhu takes Lal to Theni. Just to eradicate the Ganja, a small girl does three murders and goes to Jail. After some years, that little girl comes as the Grandma of Simbhu in the film. That Grandma has control over that whole district. She is being murdered by Lal. How will Simbhu leave Lal without taking any revenge? Simbhu brings Lal to Theni and murders him.

During the Lal-Simbhu fight, Simbhu has irrelevantly kidded Dhanush. It's interesting when Lal shouts-"Naan Polladhavan", for that in reply Simbhu Shouts saying that-"Naan Kettavan". Meanwhile, Simbhu has discussed the issue of marrying the elderly persons as Life-mate, and again dragged Dhanush into a controversy! Lal comes with his Family and Colleagues when he comes to the Theni. It's thrilling when Simbhu attacks the Lal's Colleagues one by one.

Simbhu's Aunty, Sangeetha shouts so loudly in the Cell-phone that even her Vocal cords would tear off. It's inappropriate for Sangeetha, to love Simbhu one-sidedly! It's very enjoyable when Santhanam kids one of his College-mate that- "Aren't you the Guy who studied with "Idhayam" Murali?

Vedhika bears a very innocent face when she travels with Simbhu knowing that-he is going to kill her Father. She is a terrorizing Girl in the aspect of exposing Glamour.

R.D.RajaShekar's Cinematography and Kanal Kannan's Stunt Direction are like the two Horns for the unrelenting "Kaalai". There is a song in the "Ammadi Athaadi" style. G.V.Prakash Kumar has made everyone to tap their feet for Dancing by his rocking Music.

"Kaalai" is like the film "Thimiru" in another different version. If the nuances followed in the film "Thimiru" had been repeated in the film "Kaalai", then the Director could held his head high with more pride.
