Indhralogathil Naa.Azhagappan
The story starts with a wild desire of a Human that-"how will it be if 'Yaman', who kills everybody is killed?" They have fulfilled the imaginary desire of a Human being in this story. Azhagappan is one of the characters, who earn his livelihood by conducting Stage plays. He thinks of performing remedial rituals and puts garland to a statue. At last that statue is the "Ramba" from the Heaven! His life becomes like a sort of cursed one, in which he faces lots of different troubles. In the evenings he is taken to the Heaven. Then in the mornings he is returned back to the Earth. The person who does these kinds of frequent traveling is our Vadivelu. He is the 'Indhran' in the Heaven and the 'Yaman'. It's good that they have restricted the usually repeated dialogues of "Nee Enna Madhiriyae Irukkiyae?" which is used in the films with multi-characters for the same Artist.
Normally they will write the "Date of Birth" and "Date of Expiry" in the photos of the dead people. But in this film, they have changed that concept and shown as "Date of Birth" and "Date of Escape". This kind of beginning is a rocking. "How will it be if a person who wishes to become fat, drink the whole tonic in a single stretch?" Like that, Vadivelu has done all the roles, which all he wished. This Comedy King's role of a 90 years old man makes us to cry, instead of making us to laugh. In some instances, Azhagappan looks like 'Azhugaiappan', and some of these scenes make us to feel bored. Vadivelu stands-out very gigantically special, in the 'Yaman's' role. His Pure Tamil and the Roars from the bottom of the Stomach has shown us a new Vadivelu. He also comes as the Indhran who always moves around, with the company of women.
Vadivelu deals with a small child in a very friendly manner. Suddenly, she dies. So, from that instance he becomes determined to kill the Yaman. It's very interesting to see Vadivelu going to "Yamalogam"(Yaman's world) with a Liquor-Barrel. The imagination of giving the Liquor to Yaman is very fine. But that scene instead of provoking the comedy creates tensions.
We don't know that was she allowed to dance and compete with the Ramba, Oorvashi and Menaka in the Heaven? She has been made to dance with the name "Kodangi Pidari Aatha"!
On viewing from all sides, Thotta Dharani has mesmerized everyone by the grand Art-work done by him using his superb Hands and imagination. The Cinematographer Gopinath has presented all the Heavenly beauties with the same eye of the Art director's vision.
The Songs and the Music are made with the Ancient-period's timing sense. Music is Sabesh-Murali or by the "Sabash-Murali"(very good)?
Overall, It's "Indhralogathil Oru Imsai Arasan"!
