Whenever Patriotism arises, Actor-cum-Director Prem will come in the fore-front in Kodambakkam and direct a film on that subject. Even the Masala film fans will get terrorized by his actions of fixing Sirens for Bullock-carts, which is very ordinary for him. But this Ashoka is of very serious genre.

Some terrorist group plans to murder the Prime Minister. Prem comes as the Chief-Commando for the PM. Prem saves the PM, from the terrorist's attack on PM. The PM is being admitted into a Private Hospital. The terrorist group continuously targets PM. The thrilling fights between the terrorist group and the Commando Group under Prem, is the story. It's consoling that there are no songs in this film.

The introduction scene itself is fantastic. The terrorists shoot with a rain of bullets on the Prime Minister who comes in the Car. By sacrificing few of his friends he saves the PM from the danger and admits him in the Hospital. This scene is very good ('Prem'madham'). He uses all his possible powers to save the PM. There are many interesting and intellectual things in this film that-even the educated youths should take a note of all the things regarding these kinds of very highly official issues.

Whenever required the Villain stops his Breath and Heartbeats and allows it to function when he wants. This character is a surprise for sure. Hats-of to the Screenplay which uses this unique specialty in the right manner. They have shown how tough it is to even park a Car, near the premises of the Hospital where the PM is admitted. In spite of the absolute attention, it is illogical when the Villain escapes in just a few seconds of relaxation in alertness.

Nowadays the changing of getups has become very ordinary even for the Actresses also. In the first scene the Female Villain comes as a very young girl. After the next few scenes itself, she comes like an old lady.

It's all in-justifiable for the Deputy PM Anandhraj to speak to the terrorists over the internet, and make plans for murdering the PM. Do these kinds of things happen so openly? The deficit of the presence of Comedy is fulfilled by Raghuvaran. Whenever he speaks seriously, the Fans laugh with huge noises.

It's definitely a matter of Appreciation about Prem that-He has taken the Climax keeping in mind the Cold-war fighters like attitude between the Central security staffs and the Domestic Police!

Overall it's a very good Patriotic salute by Prem!
