The Director's Association Elections are to be held on 11th of this month. These Elections are held once in every 2 years. This time, R.C.Shakthi and BharathiRaja are contesting against each other.

Many people wanted to select BharathiRaja without any competition. The R.C.Shakthi filing his name for contesting the Elections has created headache for many people. Regarding this, when they spoke to him, R.C.Shakthi said-"Competition is the symbol of Democracy" and he refused to take his nomination papers back.

This Association which has 1400 members has more Assistant Directors than others. In this juncture, they all are raising very huge noises. The Assistant directors who have decided to contest as individual teams have given a brief about them. That is-

If there are any salary dues to the Association Members, then the Association will get it and give it to the employees. But, Director Association does not take steps for that at all. Every assurance is up to the mouth only. Even the Directors, who contest the Elections, have Salary dues to settle to their Assistant Directors. Some famous Directors win the Elections and become as the Head of the Association. Then they don't come to the Association at all. They conduct the Association in their House itself. They use the name of the Association and meet the Chief Minister for their own personal benefits. Just to fulfill their needs, they use the already suffering Assistant Directors for all struggles like Hunger Protests, this that etc. Just to avoid these money launderings and to regain the lost rights of the Assistant Directors and to safeguard ourselves, excepting the most important responsibilities, we have decided to contest for the other posts.
