The Audio Release Function of the film “Kuselan” was held in the Le Royal MeridienHotel in Chennai. The Hall was small. But, the crowd was huge! It was so crowded that some had to sit on one another also. That too, they sent back some people in the Entrance itself. (Is it not the habit to conduct these kinds of huge functions in big Auditoriums like Kamarajar Hall etc?).

R.Bharathiraja came after few minutes, after the RajiniKanth’s visit. A seat was allocated for him in the rear row. RajiniKanth saw this and immediately asked that Chair to be put in the front row and asked Bharathiraja to sit there.

• 2. Rajini keenly enjoyed everybody’s speech by closing his eyes. He enjoyed G.V.Prakash Kumar’s speech. After the completion of G.V.Prakash’s speech, Rajini saw A.R.Rahman and showed a reaction, which meant that G.V.Prakash’s work was fantastic.

• 4. Madhumitha, the Director of the film “Vallamai Thaarayo” came with a huge Bouquet and gave it to Rajini. Rajini asked his Assistant to keep it in his Car.
  
  
• 5. As, this is the film about friends, all the Guests in the dais invited their close friends and gave the “Kuselan” film’s CDs to them and enjoyed their moments of joy. Rajini invited his friend Murali and gave CD to him. (This Murali is the Manager of the Raghavendhra Mandapam).
  
  
• 6. P.Vasu said that-“For this only I said not to invite these people. Did you hear me?” This “these” term by mentioned by Vasu refers to the Photographers. When there was no place even to stand, the counting of the Photographers could have been more than 200 odd or more!
  
  
• 7. Balachander mentioned that Bharathiraja was his closest friend in the Cinema industry. Bharathiraja said-“I am very proud on hearing Balachander’s speech. Before this moment, I did not feel this level of happiness, even when I got my Padmashree Award”. Then, Bharathiraja fell on Balachander’s feet and sought blessings from him.

RajiniKanth came to give a top class speech in the end. I was thinking that-We have shown very high-class things. How will the fans accept if we show some thing less than that? After the films “Baasha”, “Muthu”, “Shivaji”, “Chandramukhi” the expectations are very high. I said to Balachander Sir that-I should act in films, which are greater than these films. If you continuously act in grand films, then you may face the pressure of trying to fulfill the expectations to the highest level. So, you can do some small films in between. This film was planned like that only.

When I was thinking about the Music of this film, I remembered about Ilaiyaraja. One day when was hearing the song CD of the film “Veyil”, I felt it to be good. I asked Shankar-What is his thought about G.V.Prakash? Shankar said-“He is a very fine guy and a very talented Musician”. G.V.Prakash has all the plus points of A.R.Rahman. Then, please do not ask me what his minus points are? I do not know. Many people say that-He would give Appointment at 2 or 3’o clock in the morning and ask everyone concerned to come at that time (Rajini said this in a laughing tone).

When the shooting was on in Hyderabad, a boy came and stood near me. He was looking at me for a very long time. I was getting angry as to why they were letting this boy to stand there for such a long time. I asked that boy, do you want to take Photo with me? He said, yes. Then the persons nearby said-He was G.V.Prakash. I heard his songs and got surprised. He seemed to be a combination of both Ilaiyaraja and A.R.Rahman.

They say that-“I look young in this film. Some people have some doubts that-Do I go to Himalayas and have something special. I do not take any white food. That is, I do not eat things like Salt, Sugar, White Rice, Tablets, Milk, Curd, Ghee etc. All these restrictions should be for the persons who have crossed 40’s or 50’s only. If we leave these things in the 30’s, then we will get Mental depression. So, eat very well. When we reduce all these things, don’t we need to live the life? That’s where the Positive thinking plays a major role! That’s why keep thinking that-I am fine. I will be fine. You will be fine”. Thus, Rajini gave an interesting speech.

Pasupathi and Meena, who are said to be the Hero and Heroine of this film were absent to this function. On enquiry, it is known that-They both were being silenced in the Advertisements. Nayanthara, who was very well highlighted in the advertisements, was also absent to this function. Why was it so?
